The TPT Announces the Twitter Poker Tour Championship Series
The Twitter Poker Tour Championship will feature a range of buyins and game types with celebrity and professional hosts!
The Twitter Poker Tour has recently announced the creation of a new series of events titled the Twitter Poker Tour Championship Series. There will be 26 events in all with 25 preliminary events leading into the Tournament of Champions.
There will be buy-ins ranging from $2 up to $50 and will feature a variety of games including PLO, No Limit Holdem, Stud, Razz, 2-7 and HORSE. The winner of each of the preliminary events will automatically be entered into into the Tournament of Champions event to be held on Thursday June 2nd.
“The TPTCS Tournament of Champions will reward 3 players with Medium and High Stakes tournament prizes, giving players a chance to freeroll their way to hundreds of thousands of dollars,” Says Manning. “Last year we qualified a player from a series of $2-$10 events to the World Series of Poker. We also had one of our members work their bankroll up to compete in the North American Poker Tour Main Event. Now, the sky’s the limit. It’s entirely possible that one of our players may turn a $2 buy in into a major tournament championship!”
From the beginning of the TPTCS until it’s conclusion, there will be 3 events per week (Tuesday/Thursday night and Sunday afternoon). Each of the Sunday events will feature, in addition to the TOC seat, a cash added bonus via a step ticket to Sunday Major or live satellite events.
Many of the TPTCS Events will be hosted by a Red Pro or other celebrity host. Notable hosts include (as of this writing) Michael Mizrachi, Aaron Bartley, Matt Jarvis, Esther Rossi, Linda Johnson, Matt Savage and Kelly Kim.
And finally, there will be a TPTCS Player of the Series leaderboard akin to the WSOP POY race. The player that accumulates the most points throughout the series will take home a Full Tilt Step 4 ticket ($216) as well as enrollment in a Deepstacks Live training course.
